Default diver safety and awareness

Got This in my email a few days ago.

I can't make the meeting, but I'll try to get updates from some people that are going (if they do...)

------------------

Good day.
My name is Natasa Djermanovic and I am contacting you personally to invite you to a very important meeting of the Niagara Divers Association. In the ongoing interest of diver safety and awareness, we have been working on getting information together for the benefit of all divers in the community regarding the unfortunate dive accident back in September involving 2 divers from Toronto area and our very own “Chippawa Creek”. We have had the honor of getting a private tour of the Niagara Falls power station and getting information of the inherent dangers of these waterways and diving them. NDA has been working with the Ontario Underwater Council to create an in-depth investigation of the events that happened that fateful day.
Please join us so that we can all make our next Chippawa dive a safer one.

Due to the space restrictions at the library and the interest in this matter we require you to RSVP to ensure you will have a seat. If needed, we will gladly repeat this presentation at our next meeting in December.

Which reminds me of a story........

I used to live between two small rivers on the New Jersey coast. One was the cold water intake for a nuclear power plant, the other the hot water outlet. One night they let loose a blast of hot water, well above the legal limit, just as a school of bunker (a smelly, nasty trash fish) was being chased up the river by a school of bluefish (a smelly, really nasty game fish). The stench given off by the resulting stew was indescribable. Not pretty to look at, either.
