Ok.. I lived in England for 5 1/2 years and I learned a lot about the culture and some of the food you people eat. (mushy peas, spotted dick) But, the "boiled sweets" is something new to me. What is that??

My wife makes a big deal out of her Irish ancestry. Every St. Pat's day, it's corned beef & cabbage and spotted dick, when all I want is something out of The Sopranos Cookbook.
She even made me go see the Chieftans once.
