Lightbulb Malta's decompression chamber still out of commission

Quote:
The new decompression chamber in Gozo, which government inaugurated 10 months ago, is still out of action.

The Hyperbaric Unit at the Gozo Hospital was inaugurated by the Prime Minister and Gozo Minister Giovanna Debono on 16 December 2006. This project, which includes the decompression chamber, is a vital resource for the scuba diving tourism industry. As long as it remains inoperative, any diver who experiences problems while diving will have to be transported to Malta’s hospitals to receive treatment in a decompression chamber.
