Default neck problems

I get an unusual neck problem when i dive regularly and i wondered if anyone knew what it was. If i dive 3 or 4 times in a couple of days the skin on the front of my neck starts to get extremely dry and cracked. It turns a darker colour - people think i've tried hanging myself!
It is quite painful, and obviously puts me off diving for a while until it's healed over. This wouldn't be such a great problem, however i'm planning a career change to be a diving instructor and would obviously be a large issue.
I'm a Scottish diver, and i have this problem with my drysuit, however it's not the latex seal as i have the same reaction when i dive in a wetsuit.
Any ideas on how to get around this problem?

Sounds to me a latex reaction. The skin on the front of the neck is very sensitive, think of the last razor burn from shaving. Between the material in the suits and the chafing against the neck I think its causing a reaction. I have been a paramedic for 20 years and used latex gloves in the begining. I would always break out on the top of my hand near my thumb. I no longer have the problem with the non latex gloves. Maybe try wearing a lycra liner will help. Good luck and dive safe.
