Going to Roatan in May. Local health dept said that I need to take malaria meds, typhoid, and influenza. Already have Hep A & B.

Last time in Roatan did not need all of this stuff. Have things changed that much or is my Health Dept looking at the wrong info?

I have been there three times and never heard of having to need all of that. I think if your going to be in the jungle area it makes sense but not if your staying at a dive resort. Cocoview Resorts has a internet board my be one of the diver knows something about the changes.

Hey Sue,

I checked the board. Most agreed the Hep. A-B are good to have and Tetanus. It's up to you, or you could talk with your doctor just to be sure. Make sure he understands you'll be at a resort. Have fun on your trip. Let me know how many sea horse you see.

If you don't mind me asking, where are you staying? I stayed at Bayview a few summers ago, and it was some of the best diving I've ever done.
