Default Suggested meals for divers

What are good meals for those who will go into diving? Do you have to be full since diving takes much energy?

Divers are not athletes that require special diet. Maybe energy boosting diet would suffice like fruits, etc. However, being physically fit as a result of regular workout can help divers cope with physical "stress" in underwater exploration.

It's true that diving takes more energy than say..... walking. But it's not that strenuous. But you do get hungry between dives. Check out this energy bar made for diving. It has Papaya, and Pinapple to aid in Digestion and a good amount of Ginger for the dreaded sea sickness. http://www.divebar.com/. The best thing is this was made by a fellow diver. Let me know what you think if you taste it. I've tried one and they are pretty good.

I'd say that you should eat anything too heavy no? i don't see myself going to dive after having puds and turkey for instance!

Most of the time i pack myself a sandwich, nothing very exciting, butter, ham and cheddar. It's my favorite and that way i don't feeltoo 'heavy' , i hate diving after a big meal, most of the time i even prefer diving before i eat

yes i'll always go for something light like a salad and will drink spring water, diving when you are feeling as full as a boot isn't very nice,it doesn't make you feel good either

yes i'm another sandwich person! I always eat light before a dive because whenever i have a heavy meal i always just feel like sleeping after it. It makes me feel heavy and tired and i don't like feeling that way when i dive
