Default Split vs. paddle fins

The discussion has been going on for years. Some people love one and hate the other, others switch between the two depending on how they are diving. I know which I prefer and will post it later on.

Which do you like?

I won't vote since I haven't dove with both. But, I sure love my paddle fins. I have two instructors I deal with. One HATES splits and one LOVES them. It's all personal opinion, just as with everything else. (ie: jacket vs back inflate)

OK, this is pretty quiet, so I'll vote.
When I took up diving again 10 years ago the LDS sold me on a pair of Atomic Aquatic splits. Overe the years I have tried or bought and sold other splits, as well as various palddle fins, Volo's, ScubaPro JetFins, and others.
For me, nothing beats those Atomics. They are comfortable, give me a lot of return for the effort involved, and are stiff enough to do specialty kicks like the frog, helicopter, etc. They also do not feel "mushy" like some other splits. I hated the weight of JetFins, which a lot of my friends use.
The only modification I made is installing homemade spring straps, although the original ones are quite nice and easy to get on and off.
