Default Underwater help....

I posted this on several other places too, but no replies... Hopefully someone will come along and help me out here...

Because when we go under water there is a certain extent of pressure so what type of protection should I need or MUST I get a special camera?

Some cameras ( most of the time the new compacts ) can't go underwater as it will virtually kill them. You may have to look for one that can be used both as a normal camera and then have attachments that will amke it water proof and pressure resistant.
I remember the Old Sony PSC-7 able to do that.

True, most of the digital equipments cant withstand much heavy pressure, so you must shield it with some attachments or survey the market to find a suitable one.

Recently Samsung seems to have built up a housing for the underwater divers to take their cameras along. For more details visit http://www.samsungcamera.com/press/p...key=&keyfield=

You could also check these cameras which are dedicatedly meant for scuba divers http://www.divesiteasia.com/cameras.htm

The camera you use in under water is the conventional camera. You just need a housing to keep the camera dry while under water. This link is an interesting guide about waterproof camera housings and related topics. http://www.pcworld.com/howto/article...,116430,00.asp

I own a regular digital Sony DSC-100, along with a marine pack it works just fine underwater (the deepest i tried was 42 meters (abt 135 feet)
