I was wondering what sort of video camera you could use to do underwater videos? What can be found and at what prices? I would like a video camera i could take to a confortable depth...

You can use your high end or conventional video camera underwater provided that you install a special underwater housing. There are manufacturers offerring underwater housings for devices like video camera especially those into marine research, recreational diving, underwater movie filming etc. This site can help http://www.gateshousings.com/ .

This is also a good link http://www.divernet.com/photog/0505video.shtml . John Boyle takes you to a journey of getting shots of the underwater world.

I use a Sony VX2100 with an Ikelite housing that goes to 60 meters with the 100 watt pro lighting system. It's a bit big and heavy out of the water but once in the water it's a real dream to use.
