Hi,

Anyone have experience with local dives in/near Springfield IL? I'm going to be working in Springfield in a couple of weeks and wanted to find out what the local scene is like. Does anyone knows of any "fun" evening dives in the area? I know my local dive shop/club here in Green Bay does once-a-week evening dives but I don't know if that is somewhat universal or not.

Is it worth toting my dive stuff along?

I live in Springfield and I'm sorry to tell you that there is nothing closer that 2 1/2 hours away, and that is Haigh quarry in Kankakee. For fun in the evening we go downtown and polish up the statue of Ol' Abe.
