Hi Lindz

I have just returned from Kenya been 12 times over the years. Dive with Bucaneer Divers at White Sands Hotel Bamburi. They are 5 Star Padi IDC. Bruce the owner is excellent and so is Junior who runs the centre. Sharks no problem white tips out on reef only 10min. boat ride. You can lay with them on the sandy bottom about 2metres away. Wasini is a great dive area to. A word of warning though stay away from Paradise Divers. They have no idea about safety checks and their hire kit is to say the least poor quality.

Can anyone tell us what the diving is like off Mombasa? My husband and I are considering a 7-8 day trip in December staying at the Severin Seas and diving with Bucaneer. We have been to the Red Sea and the Maldives several times and to Tahiti. We know that Kenya will not be on par with those locations, but will we be terribly disappointed?

You wont be disappointed! Buccaneer are an excellent choice to dive with. They even have their own wreck down at 30 metres. Turtle, shark, lobster beautiful coral maybe if your lucky whale shark and manta.
