Sorry for the delay in replying. I'm stuck out here in Angola and internet connections are not the smartest

If you have never dived Sharm then you could be spoilt for choice. The company I always travel with are RegalDive and I dive with Emperor Divers. They are not overly expensive but I know others will tell you that there are cheaper options. That said, I have booked trips out to Sharm and Hurghada with the same company for the last ten or so years and have never had a bad trip.

When do you plan on going?

I always use The Wave diving centre, again all good. dive sites depend on what you want to see. Only "less spectacular" dive I've ever had there was deep on Jackfish Alley - I preferred it as a shallower dive.
I would suggest that you had a hotel close to Naama bay, as this is the only place you can really go out and about. If (like one of mine) the all-inclusive hotel makes your mouth water, not in a good way, you WILL want to be out and about!

The best way to dive the red sea is on a livaboard and a week is usually enough. There are plenty of boats to take you diving. My recommendation would be Tony Backhurst but there are others. Here are some pics from last week.....

A nice sea fan

The gun on the thistlegorm

Some Baracuda

Squirel fish and table coral

The red sea has to be one of the best dive destinations in the world.
