Default Diving the Carribean

This summer my family and I are planning a (diving) trip to the carribean. I was just wondering what would be a well rounded place to go to. We are interested in great, easy diving, and beautiful beaches. And if possible lots of large ocean animals. We were thinking along the lines of Belize, Dominica, Caymans, or Turks and Caicos. Anyone have and advice?

I'm a diver and the rest of my family is not. We ALL loved the Caymans. Diving, beaches, beautiful drives, shopping, dinning. It made everyone happy.

I love Belize. Second largest Barrier Reef in the world and certainly in a better state than the Great Barrier Reef.

We dived extensively around the Lighthouse Reef Atoll which is the furthest group of reefs from Belize. I was in the Royal Navy at the time and we were camped on Half Moon Caye, which is a nature reserve. We basically had the place to ourselves, with only the odd day boat making a visit as a second dive (having dived the Blue Hole as the first dive of the day).

Lots to see, even in the shallows of the atoll. Rays of all kinds (we shared a night dive with three enormous Mantas), sharks and some of the biggest baraccuda I have ever seen.

Wonderful days!
