What are your favorite dive sites on Bonaire and what did you see. We are going there in March 2008 and want a heads up on the beach diving.

They are all good. My favorite was the "Town Pier" night dive. I saw octopus, sea horses, many colorful coral, bristle stars, anemonies, lots of eels. I also like Oil Sleak Leap, the Hilma Hooker, Bachelors beach, both Andrea sites.

You will need to pick up a copy of "Bonaire Shore Diving Made Easy" by Susan Porter. It will be a big help, especially if you are a new diver. It rates the sites and tells you if it is easy or advanced.

Everyone says the Salt Pier is a good dive but I have never dived it. I had to save something so I would have a good excuse to go again.

We have been diving for many years, mostly in Cozumel and the Bay islands of Honduras. The beach diving will be a bit different as we are used to boat diving. We will be doing both in Bonaire. We are staying at a small place (4 rooms) called Deep Blue View and it has it's own dive shop. Thanks for the help.
