Just returned from a week long whale encounter at the Silver Banks aboard the T & C Aggressor II. The ultimate adventure for the serious diver and lover of the oceans. Interacting with humpback whales provides a lifetime set of memories and an insight and appreciation into their world. We went out twice a day, spending 1-2 hours tracking a whale mother and calf awaiting the opportunity to get into the water and snorkel with them. Some encounters listed a few minutes, others 30 minutes. Not for the beginner as most days were spent in choppy seas riding in a skiff. captain Piers and his crew are extremely knowledgeable and ensure that all encounters are conducted with the safety and welfare of the whales foremost.

Being with the humpbacks is on the top of my to-do list, but can you tell me do you get to do any diving in addition to seeing the whales? Or, do you spend the whole time tracking and then snorkeling with the whales?

Did you spend any time in the Dominican Republic or do any diving in the area?
